Berlin Weather
Berlin has a moderately cool and humid climate determined by a mixing of air masses from the Atlantic Ocean and the continental climate of Eastern Europe. Berlin has a temperate /mesothermal climate (Cfb) according to the Köppen climate classification system.
December, January and February are the coldest months. In winter winds blow from Russia and temperature drops below freezing. The temperature in winters are vary minimum from -2o C to 0o C and maximum of 4o C. Casual Winter attire is woolen jackets and sweaters. Warm coat, together with scarf and gloves is recommended
May and June are the warmest months, but not so hot. In summer highest temperature will range from 22o C to 25o C and minimum temperature will range from 12o C to 14o C. Casual summer attire is worn, including shorts and summer sun hats.
July and August are unpredictable months. A sunny day can turn to cloud over and turn into a rainy day. During this season when the trees are in bloom and the outdoor cafe season kicks off, are popular months.
The nicest months are September and October, which has autumn foliage.
Annual precipitation is 22.4 inches (570 mm) with moderate rainfall throughout the year. Snow fall occurs during winter but it doesn’t last for long.
Overall, Berlin is a pleasant place to visit in terms of weather. June to August is the best time to visit Berlin for a holiday, when outdoor cafes in the parks and come alive with events.
