Clocking up the Business Miles

My job takes me all over the world and I have had to get used to the idea of flying. As I grew up I was terrified of flying, but I managed to get over that fear eventually with hypnotherapy. What I learned during my therapy was that it was actually the organizational side of flying that scared me! I wasn’t actually too scared of falling out of the sky, I was worried about my bags being lost, suffering from jet lag, not being able to find the people who were meeting me off the plane and losing my tickets! A while ago I found a website which really helped me sort out my problems with flying. It was full of great flying advice and it really helped me prepare for my business trips.
It’s funny that I started off my life so frightened of flying, yet I end up with a career which takes me all over the world – on planes! Now that I can deal with flying I actively seek out flights which will take me on different routes! This is probably a little bit perverse, but it is a way of me saying that I have conquered my fears, and I am now going to cover as much sky as I possibly can! I regularly use a website which shows flight maps so I can get an idea of the route the flights take.
I tend to fly abroad about three times a month now, so it’s obviously important for me to find the cheapest prices that I can. If I save just five pounds on each flight then I can save about two hundred pounds a year! I tend to search for air flights online so that I get a good number of results back. This allows me to search through the various options to make sure that I find the cheapest flight. It quite often turns out that a lot of the prices are the same, but if you are prepared to take a bit of time searching, you can save yourself a lot of money.
I’d have to say that my experiences have changed me as a person. I have gone from being someone afraid of leaving the ground, to a person who embraces challenges and loves adventure. Nowadays I look forward to my trips away so much that I’m thinking about the next one before I have even landed!
